What star rating is this resort? Also, it looks like you might be missing a few amenities. To see the full list click 'continue' on the hotel from the main search page then directly underneath the amenity icons click 'see all amenities'. The icons are limited to 8 and often times there are more. Are you searching for the default 1 room 2 Adults? or 4 adults?

Neither of these hotels have been reported to the board, however I notice that HOTWIRE lists the tripadvisor traveler review rating of the hotels: 5* - 4/5 based on 60+ reviews 4.5* - 4/5 based on 40+ reviews Using this, I think the matches could be: 5* - Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munchen or Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel Muenchen. I not 100% sure the Sheraton is in the zone, but I think it is. The amenities for the 4.5* matches the Sheraton Arabella Bogenhausen which has previously been reported as a 4* hotel win. It is possible that it has been upgraded to 4.5* but I can't get any confirmation of it. If you plan on reserving, help support this site by using this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let the board know the result.

The Best Western is a hotel and not a condo and has been reported as a 2.5* not a 2*, so I would rule that one out as a possibility. It'll take a little while to narrow down some options as there are many choices in the area but that answers your first question. Is there a specific reason you are looking for a 2*? Many 2* hotels in New York can be very shady and not nice at all (I know from experience), although I'm not sure if that relates to the condo's though. What is your maximum budget?

Congratulations on your win and thanks for sharing it with the board! (also thanks for using the link) That's an amazing price for the hotel. I guess many hotels are really starting to hurt with the economy, there are some amazing deals being posted to the board.

Many people have reported that their hotel has accommodated their request for double bedded rooms, or other specific requests. I would think that if the hotel can do it, they will do it, regardless of how the room was booked (within reason). The key work though is 'can', there may be a time where the hotel just can't accommodate. Well done in refusing the counter-offer. You'll most likely be able to win a room for less than that!

I would say a 50% savings is a great bid, especially since you don't have any re-bid options for a 1* hotel. Is your stay for Dec 24?

When you bid on PRICELINE you bid for a minimum star rating, so when you bid for 2.5*, you are also bidding for 3, 3.5, and 4* hotels at the same time. I guess they figure nobody will complain with a higher rated hotel :). I'm glad you got the hotel that you wanted, and 9 rooms, wow that's a great deal. Thanks for sharing your win with the board.

Unless a hotel has been reported to the board there is no way to know which hotels could be available in the name-your-price system. You can get a rough idea of the hotels that could be available by going through PRICELINEs traditional search method to see which hotels they deal with and are available on your dates. However, keep in mind that doing this is just a guideline as to what you can get and there could be hotels that are available through their normal service but aren't in name-your-price and vice versa. Some other options I see are a 3.5* on HOTWIRE for $111 with amenities: fitness pool restaurant business internet laundry golf nearby tennis nearby which looks to match the Great Divide Lodge. There is a 3.5* Condo for $219 with amenities: suite studio fitness pool business internet laundry 24hr front desk kitchenette which looks to be the Mountain Thunder Lodge. These are the only two options I see for Breckenridge and the price varies wildly. Do you have a budget in mind?

I'll need some specific dates as hotel rates and options can vary from day to day depending on what may be happening in the city at that time. A hotel can be sold out one night and be almost empty the next.

Parking fees are not included with a PRICELINE win and you'll notice that in the post that you reference the parking fee was added as a separate line in the post at $16.50 per night for 2 nights. I would agree with what you were told and print off the page stating the $16.50 parking fee, but those rates are always likely to change, and increasing the parking fee for Christmas is no different than charging more for parking during an event (like parking lots near sports arenas when there is a game on). Unfortunately, you may be stuck with paying the increased parking fee.
