  1. This 4* was cheaper than the 2* & 3* for this date. With Entertainment Book rebate, price is $108.00 plus $23.95 taxes & fees - $30.00 rebate is $101.95. Hotel Amenities continue to be Restaurant, Fitness Center, Tennis Nearby & Buisness Center.
  2. I currently have 3 back up ressies. $149.00 a night at the Holiday Inn Martinique ( easyclick travel pricematch) $129 a night at the Laquinta ( I stayed there when it was a best western & had no problems) & 140.00 a night at the Ramada New Yorker. It goes w/o saying that I am attending the Big East Tourney & have zeroed in on Hotels near MSG. I may try & grab a 4star as the dates get closer, however, I have the bases covered if Priceline rates are high. Thanks for the quick reply. What have you heard about the Ramada? That is the only one of the three I have not tried yet.
  3. My dates are 03/09/05-03/12/05. A hotwire search comes back with a Midtown Central 2 star with A Restaurant icon only for 109.00 a night. Any idea which hotel?
  4. I won the Venetian for two rooms over 4 nights last April over the Easter break. We had 4 adults & two kids. I asked for 2 rooms with 2 queen beds each. They had no problem with my request. As soon as I won the bid I called the Hotel directly to make my preference known to them. When I arrived, they initially assigned us rooms with King beds. That is the usual priceline assignment I was told. However, I mentioned that I called ahead to request two queens. She spoke to the manager & came back to tell me they would honor my request. I rec'd two connecting rooms with 2 queens each. I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel or thier staff. Good Luck.
  5. A guy I work with got the Wyndham Palace Resort for 01/22/05 on priceline today. He bid $65.00 & was rejected. PL offered a counteroffer for $17.00 dollars more. He took a free rebid instead for $67.00 & got it. Thereuare's bidding recommendation is right on. You should get the Wyndham for mid sixtys for your dates.
  6. I am not sure of your dates, but the Wyndham Boston has a great AAA and/or entertainment rate of $99.00 a night on weekends.
  7. Other than area, it matches the description. I was just guessing.
  8. I would guess Hotel Marlowe as this shows up as a 4Star boutique hotel with same amenities.
  9. I don't think the hotels mind that it is obvious. They are trying to protect thier " best rate" that they sell on thier hotel website. As long as the hotel is not named, they don't have to match the price or " double the difference" as other websites promise.
  10. Congrats: You have a beautiful baby girl. Well worth the wait.
  11. Got 3 rooms at this rate. Hyatt Regency website listing $159.00 a night. Tried looking at Hotwire first. Hotwire had a 4 star for $94.00 a night. Not sure if it was the Hyatt: Hotel, Restaurant, pool, FC, internet, buisness center. Anyway, getting back to my priceline win, bid $55.00 rejected. Added Speedway zone ( no 4 stars anywhere else in INDY so really had 6 rebids) & bid $60.00 accepted. Very surprised the rates are this low when the Colts have a home game but I am not going to complain.
  12. Not sure if this will help, but Hotwire had the Westin Times Square for $114.00 when I won the Westin on Priceline for $97.00.
  13. Thanks. Obviously, I paid it. However, I still think it is a little sneaky.
  14. My hotel bill included a $2.00 occupancy tax that I have to pay. I thought priceline covered all taxes? Does anyone know if the Hotels are allowed to do this?
  15. My wife picked this up today. Saw the Westin on Hotwire for $114.00 a night. Saw previous accepted bid for $98.00 so bid $97.00. Bid accepted. Taxes & fees of $20.74 ( ouch) bring total to $117.74. Thanks BB for all info.
  16. This is a family trip so I can't take the risk. I have a ressie at the Marriott with a great rate, but was interested in hearing if anyone had success using Priceline for St. Kitts.
  17. Just back from the Venetian 04/11-04/14/04. We had 6 in our party ( 4 adults & 2 kids). I booked two rooms through Priceline for each night. I called ahead & requested two queens in each room. When I checked in the place was a mob scene (Bellagio was without power so I think a few people came over to the venetian). Anyway as I checked in they gave me two rooms with King Beds. I asked the check in person if they could find me two rooms with two queens that also were connecting rooms. She must have spent 15 minutes at the computer looking for rooms that matched what I wanted. She then told me to go have lunch & by the time I was finished eating she would speak to her manager & get me my request. I finished lunch & found out that she go me two rooms each with Queen beds that connected. She asked me the ages of the kids but they were not with me when I checked in so I'M sure The Venetian will work with you to get you those queen beds. You will only get two room keys however. And Yes, the sofa in the living room open up into a bed so even if you get a King you have plenty of room for 4.
  18. HotwireCSR thanks for your reply. I've only used Hotwire once, but it was a good experience.
  19. Hotwire does not have St. Kitts or Nevis. However, Priceline does. Anyone have any info on Priceline " hits" in St. Kitts or Nevis?
  20. I got the Venitian for $99.00 a night from priceline for 04/11-04/14/04 so I think it is a safe bet you can get the first two nights of your stay there off priceline right now for $99.00 or less. The last night of your trip may be tough to get. If your dates are set, try & get all your nights now. Nothing to lose. If you don't get it, you can always try & get the first two nights & try for your last night later keeping you back up hotel in case it never becomes available.
  21. This info is already under another topic but I wanted to post again for the benefit of anyone scanning the boards for price info. As discussed by many others I watched Hotwire for these dates & waited for the price to fall from the $150s to $120s. I then went to priceline & started at $90.00. I kept rebidding with different zones. My $98.00 bid was rejected. $99.00 was accepted. It would not surprise me if this price goes lower the closer you get to 04/11/04. However, since my plans are set, this was a no brainer. Good luck & happy bidding to all.
  22. I couldn't pass up the Venetian for $99.00 a night. Checked Hotwire today & saw that the Venetian dropped from $150s a night to $120s a night for the first three nights of my stay. I had a feeling it would be available since the Venitian website was advertising $119.00 a night for these three days ( however quoted prices were $229.00 a night when you tried to book on the website). Followed the instructions posted on this website and added zones up until my $99.00 a night for two rooms was accepted. ( $98.00 was rejected). Right now I will keep my Flaming reservation & cancel my MGM ressie. Thanks for the help.
  23. If you don't want your credit card charged, The crown plaza has a AAA rate of $99.00 & takes a credit card guarrantee w/o charging your card.
  24. As an update I really couldn't decide where to stay so I made two reservations. I got the Flaming for $60.00 a night on Weds & Thursday & took the MGM for $99 a night (tower room) for Sunday-Weds with assorted coupons & $30.00 dining credit. If anyone else wants to make a suggestion I would be glad to hear from you. I could always cancel the above. (48 hr notice).
