  1. I don't see the ADA lowering their prices, their rooms are filling up, the Luxor at their rates are already filled as are a couple others , Mandalay Bay is 209. I don't know about others lowering prices, my own experience with vegas is prices rise the longer you wait, but thats just what I've experienced. Maybe someone else can shed some more light on that.
  2. Auntkrusty, my friend will be attending this convention as well and said that the ADA offers discounts for people attending the convention, check this out: Starting on April 6, the ADA will offer housing discounts at six official ADA hotels including Mandalay Bay, THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, Signature at MGM, Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas and Luxor Las Vegas, all conveniently located on the South Strip. In-room internet access (either wired or wireless) will be complimentary in the ADA's official hotel block, and resort fees are either complimentary or included in the rates. Discounts are available now for Annual Session attendees traveling on United Airlines, and discounted car rental services are provided by Alamo Rent A Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental. More information can be found on ada.org/session. My buddy said it was a huuuuuuuugely great deal, so I'd check that out. But also be sure to click the HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links on this site about 50 more times.
  3. Cool, the Cosmo is a GREAT property. I'll be in Vegas same weekend and I'll be singing VIVA LAS VEGAS everyday until then, almost exactly 1 MONTH AWAY!
  4. Haha I agree, with the amount of money I'd lose at poker in that amount of time, I would've spent enough to buy everyone on this board a room at the Venetian.
  5. Well usually bed preference requests aren't guaranteed, and I know the Palazzo charges more for 2 queens, so I would imagine its not that easy a request to fulfill. Also, you can't guarantee its the Palazzo/Venetian but there is a good chance it is.
  6. I did this with the exact same hotel back in February. I bid like $85, although the actual price was like $110, I saw other people bid and win it for $55. But I think the fact that I paid higher got me a better renovated room, it was nice, bed was very comfortable, A/C worked well, nice LCD-TV. would stay there again, and be happy to pay $80.
  7. How was your stay? Word around town is to avoid that place like the plague. Although, its cheap, pet friendly and has great freeway access and is close to a variety of dining options as well as some big-box stores.
  8. I live near this hotel and its a fine property and may I suggest dining at their restaurant as well, they have a great wine selection and menu.
  9. I'll be in Vegas the same weekend as well, 9/23-9/25 and I too noticed its outrageous price, yes multiple factors are to blame, concerts, expos, etc. If you absolutely need a place to stay and don't care where it is, private message me and I can help you get Circus Circus for about $85/nite or an Excalibur Widescreen Room for about $150/nite. I managed to get a room at Caesars for $169/nite and feel blessed. Hope everyone has a great time this weekend, and who know's we'll probably see each other and not know. Or maybe not.
  10. First one looks like Treasure Island Second one looks like either Palazzo or Venetian and I can't figure out the 3rd, maybe someone else can help? Also, I wouldn't recommend it, because it can get you in trouble, but the suites at the Palazzo, the STANDARD rooms are 720-sq feet, and can fit 6 people with only a little discomfort. But again, if they find out, you're going to be paying up the wazoo among other things.
  11. Mattsack the Vdara isn't bad, its actually a really nice property, the fact that it doesn't have a casino shouldn't be a dealbreaker, walk outside and you have your choice of dozens of casinos. I've heard that Vdara is a really nice hotel.
  12. Great Deal! The location may not be ideal, but it could certainly be worse, it could be on the other end of the strip, plus its not far from Excalibur, MGM, NYNY.
  13. Lol, I never said you didn't, its just good to remind people as those links fund this great site!
  14. Thank you! I know there are some other smaller conventions going on that weekend but I was wondering why prices for that particular weekend were so high. Thanks.
  15. It would be appreciated if you used the requested PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your future bidding, searches and travel purchases. To me this looks like South Point being NEAR strip and all. If you do decide to book make sure you use the links from this site, even if you don't book and want to re-search use these links as well.
  16. I'll be out there that same weekend as well, flying out of Oakland my fellow bay-arean, good luck in your search.
  17. I think I'm going to hold out a little while and wait and see if the prices go down. So won't be booking at this time. When I decide though, I'll be sure to use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links through this site.
  18. Great thread, great idea. I'm certainly going to try it, here is my question though, Would you recommend paying for a cheaper crappier room and expect the 20$ trick to work or would you just play it safe and pay for the room you want to stay in and hopefully get a nicer room with the trick.
  19. For some ungodly reason, Circus Circus is now $8.90/nt per their website.
  20. thereuare on a recent check of Hotwire for my upcoming trip, which I didn't end up purchasing, it doesn't list the Trump as a condo, it just says Strip Area North.
  21. Thereuare, I'm looking to spend no more than $200 per night on the hotel from 9/23-9/25. I want to stay somewhere on the strip, I was thinking Priceline bidding (Through this sites link of course ) a 5*, do you think I can get one on the strip for $200/night? Also, do you think if I tell the hotel its for my 21st birthday (which it is!) :) that they may give some sort of discount or perk or anything? Thanks again for this great service that you guys are doing.
  22. Aaron thanks for the reply, there is only one HOTWIRE deal I see that is to my liking in my price range and I can almost tell with certainty that its the Trump, which I don't want.
  23. Yeah, that's Las Vegas Strip North Area, that's why I am going to also not include that zone but now will take a screenshot of my screen when bidding to make sure that I have proof I didn't select that zone, thanks for the tip.
  24. Thanks, I decided not to go with the Hotwire deal for what we guess is the Trump because I want to stay on strip, what would you suggest? Bidding on 5* South Strip on PRICELINE? Thanks. And I'll reclick your links for the new searches.
  25. Through my research I've come to the conclusion that it may be the Trump Hotel, any thoughts?
