  1. I don't have the app (and we would appreciate you using our links on a desktop or in a mobile browser for your purchases as it helps to support this site) but i'm seeing this one which i'm assuming is the same: 4* Historic Zone - South Shore (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $172/nite with: Free Parking Indoor or Outdoor Pool Business Center Restaurant Free Internet ==> i'm not certain, but a guess would be the Grand Park Royal Luxury Resort Puerto Vallarta – All inclusive. HOWEVER, if this is the case and this is the hotel want, a better option would be to purchase as a known hotel for $182/nite. I'll reiterate that i'm really not that sure or confident in this one. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you ultimately decide or if we can be of help with a different offer.
  2. Quick Summary of Hotwire Hot Rate Guarantee: Hot Rate® Hotels are at least 10% lower than any public rate on another travel site Find a lower price? We’ll match it and take an additional 10% off that rate Get a $50 credit to use on a future Hot Rate® Hotel Full details are in the link below: HOTWIRE BEST RATE GUARANTEE (full terms and conditions) While the price match and additional 10% discount is nice, i think the bigger benefit most of the time will be the extra $50 credit. I can see opportunities where the price difference is small and therefore the price match + additional 10% discount amounts to $10 or $20... but the $50 credit on a future purchase could turn this into a very nice deal. Please post below any experiences (positive or negative) making a claim with the new Hotwire Best Rate Guarantee.

  8. Then i guess we have no time to waste! I assume this is the offer you're referring to: 3.5* HOTWIRE Overland Park - Leawood for $95 Free parking Pet friendly Indoor pool(s) Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access ==> if so, Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at the Convention Center is the best guess for this one Does this work for your needs for tonite? In case there is another offer and you need an answer before we t have a chance to respond, note that you can use the new features of our BetterBidding.com tool to research the offer above (or any other offer): 1) search using BiddingHelper.com 2) click the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW or PRICELINE EXPRESS tab 3) hover your mouse (or click) the FIND MATCH button next to the listing In the case of the hotel above it was not found in this first 'check', but if you then click the 'CLICK TO REVEAL HOTELS' button this hotel was identified as the Sheraton. 10. From a 'major brand' that is located on-airport i think you're looking at about $215 all-in for an compact car (an economy is $2 less for the entire stay so i think worth the upgrade to compact... further up the chain is negligible as we: Mid-Size: $217, Standard: $219, Full: $220) For one of the lower tier rental companies you're looking at an Economy Car for $145 so you can at least consider the savings if the trade-off (requires shuttle to get to counter, lesser brand/service rental company, etc) are worthwhile or not. I always stick with the top tier brands, but figured if you told you the difference in cost you could make that decision for yourself if the savings are worthwhile or not. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly.
  11. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and that you have a nice hotel to look forward to at the end of your trip. If you'd like help with any of the remaining nites feel free to start a NEW TOPIC (since this one now reflects your purchase of the Dolphin) or for car rental help please post in the CAR RENTAL section of the board and we will assist you there. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy this leg of your stay/trip (and good luck to your son in the basketball tournament!)
  12. For 3/4-3/6 best guess for this one: 4* Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $212/nite with: Fitness Center Airport Shuttle Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Walt Disney World Dolphin (lowers to $201/nite when using the discount in our Priceline Coupon page) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  13. Not familiar with either of these as i tend to stay on the strip and both of these are pretty far off (one even further than The Palms and the other south of the airport). For 12/15-12/16 how about: 4* The Strip - Northeast (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $269/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Casino Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> The LInq if this would work for your plans. I can't speak from a respiratory point of view, but i don't smell any smoke on their casino floor since their renovations about 5 or so year ago, although i don't know anything about their hotel rooms (although i may be staying there at some point next year with a conference that i'm attending nearby) And then for 12/16-12/17: 5* The Strip - Northeast (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $145/nite with: Free Parking Fitness Center Casino Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Wynn still available OR if you took the Linq for 12/15 you could stay there for 12/16 as well: 4* HOTWIRE Center Strip - High Roller Promenade for $69 Pet friendly Boutique hotel Casino Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Spa services ==> Linq OR this is also a very nice deal for 12/16: 5* HOTWIRE Center Strip - Fountains for $129 Resort Pet friendly Casino Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Spa services ==> Bellagio Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Good luck, hope an outlier hotel drops their price at the last minute for you.
  14. If 2 Queen Beds and a Sofabed are a requirement (vs. a want), unless the HOTWIRE room description includes a description of 2 Queen beds + sofabed, how do you ensure this specific room configuration? If you simply need accommodations that can sleep 3 people it becomes much easier, but if you need three separate beds in the room it becomes much more difficult to ensure this exact room configuration since the hotel will have many different room configurations and no way to guarantee this specific room set-up (again, unless the specific room description is shown by HOTWIRE prior to your purchase) Would you pay $200/nite for the Dolphin for these nites or do you prefer something cheaper in the Disney Springs area? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  15. Forgot to mention above: The Deuce may be a better option than the monorail... it's the public bus that runs the full length of the strip (all the way to downtown). I've seen wait times as long as 15 minutes but i've also seen two buses pull-up at the same time, so a bit hit or miss, but at least that typically picks-up/drops-off directly on the strip. The bus does seem to slow down a bit due to congestion and the number of stops as you get to the heart of the strip (Mirage <--> Tropicana) but since you would be getting on/off at Caesars it may be another option you didn't consider.
  16. Although it's certainly do-able/walkable, it's still a 'pretty good' walk from Tuscany Suites to Bally's/Paris. I'm also not certain if you can access the monorail from outside of the casino at Bally's... so you may need to actually enter the hotel and then traverse back to where the monorail station is. The 'issue' with the monorail is with the location of the stations... they are not in prime real estate locations so it's usually a decent walk from hotel to the monorail station and then a decent walk from your monorail stop to wherever it is that you ultimately want to be. It's OK for a trip here and there but it's not really that convenient in my opinion for frequent use (and i'm somebody who actually likes to walk). I know the Sahara has recently undergone a major renovation, but i'm not sure if the casino floor and/or rooms still have a smokiness to them. The 'somebody recently won for $80' is not necessarily for your own dates. As well, what if you were to win a different 4 star hotel in the zone? Ignore this, it's just marketing. It's certainly possible that the hotel only has 50 rooms left, but the more likely scenario is that this is only the number of rooms that have been allocated to Priceline and the actual hotel has more available (and will likely give PL more inventory should priceline sell all of the rooms they have been allocated). So i think the Tuscany Suites and/or Sahara both have potential issues with them, but you'll have to weigh these issues vs. the downside(s) of an apartment rental since that comes with many compromises as well. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Keep us updated or let us know how we can be of further help.
  17. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you were happy with the outcome and even found cheaper parking in the immediate area! (thanks for the tip) Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Sounds like you enjoyed your stay and had fun in the area.
  18. It's easier if you list the amenities from the PRICELINE EXPRESS tab of our BiddingHelper.com tool as that is what we will be using to research the property (this also ensures that we're looking at the same hotel). Assuming this is the same offer: 4* Long Bay (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $240/nite with (NOTE: the price drops to $196/nite when i click on the offer) Free Parking Fitness Center Airport Shuttle Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> not 100% certain, but fairly confident this would be the Royalton White Sands - All Inclusive Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
  19. It would be appreciated if you concluded your previous Priceline Boston hotel thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. Best guess for this offer: 3* Culver City (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $138/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Four Points by Sheraton Los Angeles Westside You can now easily identify most hotels by using the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW and PRICELINE EXPRESS tabs of our BiddingHelper.com tool: 1) search using BiddingHelper.com 2) click the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW or PRICELINE EXPRESS 3) hover your mouse (or click) the FIND MATCH from HOTEL LIST button ==> hotel should appear immediately If a hotel is not found there should be an extra button to click in order to do further research (this extra button just takes a little longer to search so we prefer to give the 'quick answer' first when available... then have users do a second search which may take a little longer). As always, you can feel free to ask for help if a hotel is still not yet identified or if you'd like a second (human) opinion before moving forward with your purchase. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
  20. For this one: 4* Playa Bonita (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $207/nite with: Free Parking Free Breakfast Fitness Center Airport Shuttle Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Dreams Playa Bonita Panama - All Inclusive would indeed be our best guess An extra service fee for this property is consistent with what Priceline shows when booking this hotel thru the retail side of their service: Dreams Playa Bonita Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  21. What do you mean by "aren't working out for me"... not sure if you're indicating you're not seeing AKL for the nite of 3/3, you're plans in the area aren't working out, the idea of having your son stay with your for 3/3 aren't working out, etc, etc... can you explain further? I can figure out almost all Priceline/Hotwire hotels, but i'm not an expert on the room configuration of of every property. If you could mention which hotels have standard rooms with a configuration that works for your needs, i could have a look for those properties. Given this is Orlando, which has a high percent of rooms designed for family use i suspect that a lot of hotels can meet this criteria, but i just don't know the ins/outs of this area well enough to know which ones qualify and which ones to exclude. There is no way to know... a different option could present itself, but likewise your top choice at the moment could disappear entirely. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  22. If it were either of the other two there would be other amenities listed. As well, although many of the features are new, the BiddingHelper.com is highly reliable. Is the Allure a property that works for your needs? If not, what is it that you are looking for and what is your maximum budget? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  23. Welcome to BetterBidding! What does the PRICELINE EXPRESS tab of our BiddingHelper.com tool say? 1) search using BiddingHelper.com 2) click the PRICELINE EXPRESS tab 3) hover your mouse (or click if on a mobile device) the 'SEE MATCH from HOTEL LIST' button 3.5* Intl. Drive - Pointe Orlando (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $76/nite with: Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Allure Resort Orlando near Univeral Does this work for your plans? If not, let us know what you are looking for in a hotel for this trip, as well as your maximum budget, and we will try to be of further help. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  24. Never fault anyone for trying to help... even if it didn't help in the long run. I'm sure you'll come into some good fortune in the future and it will all 'even out'.
  25. Please be sure to let us know how many adults/children you're including in your search as this makes it easier for us to find the same hotel by price as well as ensures that we are researching the same property. 4* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $370 Free internet Airport shuttle Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Golf nearby Tennis nearby ==> this does match previous reports for the Beach Club, but you can't necessarily exclude the (not yet reported to the board) Yacht Club as a possibility I did look further into the double/quad occupancy above... HOTWIRE used to define 'children' as age 2-17... they have recently changed this on the 'Hot Rate Hotel' side to indicate ages 2-11. When searching for a regular rate hotel you can still input the number of children and their ages. On the Hot Rate Hotel (opaque) side of things you can now only select the number of children, not their ages. ==> i'm not sure if Hotwire (opaque) is treating any children as adults because that is the way it is coded for all hotels OR if any children would still be counted as children for hotels where they treat any guest 17 years or younger as a child More specifically to your dilemma... Your in a 'grey area'. I know in the past users were able to book Disney properties for double occupancy and then call the hotel to add the children name(s) to the reservation. The other issue (how big/small this is depends upon your outlook at the age of your children) is what if the room only has a King bed... although this may be less of an issue in Orlando since the hotels here are used to accommodating families and therefore have a higher percentage of rooms with 2 beds in them and/or enough space for a rollaway assuming there is no pullout sofabed (vs. if you were staying in NYC or Chicago where hotels have a high percentage of rooms with only one bed and little/no room for a rollaway). Given the price difference i would be more inclined to only include the 2adults in my search and then call the hotel to add the child(ren), as well as sign-up for FastPass and any other perks. If there is an issue adding the children then i would offer to pay to add them to the reservation (since you would have paid Hotwire anyway). Since you are also considering splitting this stay into two reservations, you could make a first reservation for just one nite (or the first few nites), see how it goes after you call the hotel to add the chidlren, and then use that as a baseline to decide if you book with the remaining nites as just 2adults or if you include the children on the original reservation. NOTE if you do go the split reservation route (and are hoping to get the same hotel for all nites) before any purchases you should first check for each set of dates you intend on booking to make sure the same hotel appears for both searches. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how you'd like to proceed, or how it goes should you move forward, and we'll take it from there.
