  1. The other properties listed on HOTWIRE are all Resorts. I was trying to avoid a Resort because of the resort fees. Plus, I am going to the Scottsdale Stadium for spring training and the Indigo Hotel is closer than some of the Resorts that have been mentioned. So, if I decided on 2 rooms (which is very possible), do you think that's the Indigo Hotel? I've seen the Indigo Hotel mentioned in prior Scottsdale postings. I have also seen the Mondrian Hotel mentioned, which would be perfect, but I couldn't tell from the posting if the Mondrian is identified as a 3* or 3 1/2* hotel by Hotwire.
  2. 3*, Scottsdale Area, Hotwire.com 2 rooms, 4 adults, $76 per room per night. Dates 3/13/10 - 3/15/10 Amenities: Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Golf Nearby Kitchenette This property does not appear when I put in for 1 room with 2 or 4 adults. Is this possibly the Indigo Hotel? Is there a way I can book this hotel on hotwire.com if I just want 1 room? Or is it going to force me to input 2 rooms?
  3. I started with the Financial District-Embarcadero area for a 3* hotel at $55, hoping to get the Harbor Court Hotel. But I would also be happy with a 3* in the Fishermans Wharf area, which would mean either the Holiday Inn or the Best Western Tuscan Inn. $55 denied. I added Fishermans Wharf. Denied. I added free zone Marina at $60. Accepted. I have stayed at the Tuscan Inn before and it is a wonderful hotel. AAA rates for those dates are $161 on Saturday and $139 on Sunday. The list of hotels for all areas found here on BetterBidding.com was a great deal of help. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $60.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $120.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $26.88 (USD) Total Room Cost: $146.88 (USD)
  4. This is for Hotwire. I don't know how to switch it from Priceline to Hotwire. Can you please help me ID a 3* hotel in La Quinta - Indian Wells for Nov. 21, $42. Amenities are: Resort Smoke free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center High speed internet access Golf nearby
  5. Thank you for your assistance. I got the Creekside Inn in Palo Alto for 2 nights for $69 per night (11/27/09 - 11/29/09) on Hotwire. Total amount was $159.67 after fees and taxes. I am very happy with the results.
  6. I updated the Long Beach HOTWIRE thread. I was hoping someone could help me identify the 3* hotel I mentioned earlier in Palo Alto - Menlo Park on HOTWIRE.
  7. We decided not to stay in Long Beach that weekend. But it looks like one can get a 4* hotel in Long Beach for roughly $75 per night, which is a very good deal. Either the Hyatt, Hilton, Westin, or Renaissance Hotel.
  8. I checked on Hotwire for 11/27/09 for 2 nights and found a 3* hotel in Palo Alto - Menlo Park for $73 with the following amenities: complimentary breakfast fitness center pool restaurant laundry facilities Could you help me identify this property?
  9. I have been checking out the results on PRICELINE for the Palo Alto-Mountain View area. I don't see any results for a 4* hotel. It seems like the only option that would be available is the Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park. Is this accurate? Have you heard of any successful bids for a 4* in this zone? Would like to stay as close to Stanford University as possible. I see the 3 1/2* Westin is a possibility, but didn't want to risk getting Dinah's Garden Hotel.
  10. After reading other results from this site I figured I would get either The Palmer House Hilton or Hyatt Regency for around $60 - $65. First bid of $62 was accepted at The Palmer House. I'm very happy with the results. Thank you BetterBidding.com.
  11. I am planning on bidding on Priceline for a 3 1/2* or above in Long Beach (downtown area) for 1 night, May 24, 2 adults. If rejected I wanted to know if the Long Beach Airport area would be a good re-bid location. I don't see any 3 1/2* hotels in that area. I am worried about the Marriott next to the Long Beach Airport. If it isn't listed as one of the hotels on the previous page, does that mean it won't be selected for Name Your Own Price? Thanks in advance for your help.
  12. I attempted for a couple of days, starting at $65 at the 3* level only selecting the Fisherman's Wharf area. Got rejected at $65, $75, and $85. Read the post about re-bidding (Priceline Re-Bidding Explained) so I added the Marina area which doesn't have anything higher than 2*, selecting 3* again and bid $90. It was accepted at the Marriott San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf. I checked their website and a AAA rate is $208. I'm very happy with this deal. Thanks for the help.
