  1. Once again- knowing or having a darn good guess at which hotel you will get on hotwire was irristable for us. Casa Munras - April 15,2008- 4/16/2008 - 3*- $90 -two rooms and taxes $210.68 :)
  2. Tried to work out the priceline tricks for SanFran. without much success to varied a range of possible hotels in the 3* range- we took the sure thing April 16, 2008- 4/18/08- 3* -Radisson Fisherman's Wharf- $75 per night- 2 rooms- with taxes $341.66 Thank you to everyone who helped us figure out how to save!! We would have spent alot more on the same accomodations! :)
  3. we tried the priceline tactic with the free bids- thanks to all who helped us figure out how to go about it- but we didn't get anything better than hotwire- we stopped bidding when we were within $5 of a hotel we knew or had it narrowed down to 2 acceptables. This is what we ended up with. 4-11-08 to 4-15-08 Sheraton Gateway -4*-$89 per night - 2 rooms and taxes $806.45 4-18-08 to 4-19-08 Hilton Los Angelos Airport -3.5*-$76 - 2 rooms and taxes $179.71 Thanks again.
  4. :) We are open to staying anywhere in the LA area from 4/11-4/14/08- wanting a 4* at about 100- hotwire has 4* at LAX -shuttle, no smoking, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center and highspeed for $89 I think the LAX is the Westin or Sheraton ??and a downtown -fitness,pool,restaurant, busines, highspeed at $109. Westin or Omni ?? Would you agree with my tentative identifications of the hotwire hotels? If we are willing to stay by LAX,which we are, where would you start bidding? Is there usually a large diff. between hotwire and price line? Thanks-kt
