Was really trying for an airport hotel the night before an 8:30 am flight. Bid $34 and got a counteroffer so decided to take my chances. This is within quick driving distance, too, and there is usually free parking on the street on Sunday night so it's not terrible. Didn't expect to get this so cheap, though. I really expected the Holiday Inn. the Doubletree isn't my favorite, but this is my own fault. There are no free rebids for a 3* airport anymore.

Originally bid for 2 1/2 * at $38. Invited to add $11 and resubmit. Instead I added NW Portland for a free rebid and added $5. They bumped up to a 3* Best rate (prepaid) is $99. this will be perfect for my early flight. Just too bad there's no free breakfast

I've stayed at pretty much all of the priceline 4 *, and the Riverplace is far and away my favorite. It's a gorgeous location and a really charming hotel, with great service. I think you'll find it's worth the $. Like all downtown Portland hotels, the parking is steep, but there is a cheaper parking garage just down the street where I parked.

Colfax, I'm surprised to see you here. I'll be interested in your review of this hotel. Looks like a good deal.

Bidding with friends for 4* downtown Portland. Strted 74 and went to $92 on rebids with no luck for 9/23. Switched to 3 * and reopened with a $48 bid and got Doubletree LLoyd Center on the first try.

3* Texas (South Padre Island) La Copa Beach Resort Nove10--12. Also $47. beachfront, complimentary breakfast, pool(s), fitness, business center, laundry and highspeed internet

I ended up with a 2* Portland PDX that was the Red Lion for $34 thru Priceline.

There's a 3 1/2 star listed in the greater portland with fitness, restaurant, business center, laundry, tennis on Sept. 23. The tennis has thrown me. Do you think it might be the Hilton??? I'm trying to book an anniversary weekend for friends. Any educated guesses greatly appreciated.

I'm looking at a room in Portland PDX area for April 29, one night. Shows $57 for 3* shuttle, resaurant, pool, fitness, high speed internet, business center and laundry. Doesn't show golf or tennis nearby so I don't think it's the Radisson. But maybe it is and some of the icons didn't come up. any other ideas? Thank you in advance.
