  1. Have been bidding this past weekend for a last minute wedding that we were invited to at the Hilton Wiakoloa Village. We stayed there this past November for $140 a night, but I haven't seen any recent Resort wins posted. We wanted to stay here because this is the Hotel where the wedding was happening, so even though the Marriott is in the same vicinty, we wanted to make sure we'd be at the same hotel. Any bid 100, 115, and 130 for my first try. (Just being hopeful) :) Bid 130, 135, and 140 my second try. at 135 I was told to offer $22 for a rebid, and opted for the free rebid by adding Hilo, but it didn't accept my 140 bid. Today I just bid $140 and was offered the rebid 22 and don't have to add anything again... bid $145 on the free rebid instead and got it. Check-In Date: Wed, Apr 26, 2006 Check-Out Date: Sat, Apr 29, 2006 Your Offer Price: $145.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $435.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $65.29 Total Charges: $500.29 The lowest price on the Hilton Website for the dates was $219 for a room assigned at Check in.
  2. I just won a bid last week in the Kamuela area, just north of Kona... you can read my trail on This post about what did and didn't work.... I wound up paying $140 a night for the Hilton Waikoloa in the Kamuela area... I don't think that Kona has any 4 stars in the Kona section of Priceline... Good luck and have fun!
  3. lost info in the merge... The Hotel I won was Hilton Waikoloa at $140 a night Kamuela zone.
  4. See my first post on Rejected Resort Hawaii (Kamuela) bids up any help? didn't win - 11/16-19 for $128, $130, or $135 Rebid today 72 hours later at $130, was told to offer $22 more and opted to add kona so I could pick how much I wanted to add (since that is really a free rebid). Placed $140, $5 higher than I had gone last weekend when I had bid. and got it! Hurray! :) Now I don't have to worry about if the construction at the Marriott would be to crazy! Check-In Date: Wednesday, November 16, 2005 Check-Out Date: Saturday, November 19, 2005 Region: Hawaii, HI City Areas: Kamuela Kona Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $140.00 Subtotal: $420.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $63.27 Total Charges: $483.27
  5. I rebid this afternoon for a 4* as well hoping for the marriott at $80, $90 and $100. No luck again... any tips other than to try again in 72 hours? Thanks fellow deal hunters! Lindsay
  6. I was hoping to spend between $80 and $140 per night for hotel based on other posts I had read... I am thinking about bidding on a four star and hoping for the Marriott... I have read that their north tower renovation is supposed to be complete Novemeber 15th and so at that point the rooms should be refurbished. I have read a lot of mixed reviews on it though... some people rave and others not so much :) We are staying at the Hapuna Prince Beach Resort for the first 5 nights of our trip on business and are spending a night in Volcano at a Bed and Breakfast on the 15th...
  7. I bid on a Resort in the Kamuela area started at $128 like a couple of people have said they have the Hilton Waikaloa Village at. Rejected. Added Kona area and rebid at $130, rejected. Added Hilo since there are no resorts in that area either, rebid at $135. Rejected also. Is there a better day to bid? Do Priceline prices go up on weekends since more people are bidding? Should I try to rebid in 72 hours? Thanks for any help! This board is great! Lindsay
