Priceline Hotel: Toronto - Downtown South Help

Hi everyone

Just wondering if I can get some help please. I understand using this board w/Hotwire and being able to figure out what hotel you are most likely getting but I dont understand priceline as well. I see how to pick what star level but where does it show ammenities? Is it after you enter in your credit card information?

We are looking to get a hotel in July and I am pretty much fine with any of them although certain ones have advantages - We are flyong out on Porter airlines the next morning so Westin is close to the Islands but Sheraton is close to my work. Then again BlueJays are at home that night so getting Renaissance would be sweet.

Can someone please help me figure it out. Also I need one room July 23 and one August 6...when is a good time to book? Now or closer to the dates?

You should start by taking some time and reading the board's Priceline FAQ

You also need to decide if you want to go with PRICELINE or HOTWIRE ?

If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive.

I have read through those and Im still confused. I thought I would post here because I had specific dates and an idea of area. I have just posted in the "ive never used priceline" thread. You can delete this thread if you like

Please keep all posts in this thread for your stay.

You can't ID the PRICELINE hotels. You can only try to do that with the HOTWIRE hotels.

You can view the hotels in this zone which have been reported to the board in our Priceline Hotel List, but as per the message at the top of the list, keep in mind that these are only hotels reported to the board and there could be others.
