Hotwire Hotel: 4* San Jose (Santa Clara) Moorpark Hotel

Used the HOTWIRE link on this site and reserved a 4* in Santa Clara.

I ended up with a hotel NOT listed here. The Moorpark Hotel. This was a bit of a disappointment for two reasons. 1) It was 5 miles from the convention center, instead of next door like the one listed here, and more importantly, 2) It was listed on Expedia for $20 cheaper per night!

I contacted Hotwire to see if it was eligible for a refund since I found it cheaper, and I heard back the following day (Saturday) that I would be getting back double the difference (or $40) per day. which means over $200!!

All in all, this made all the difference, and will more than cover the rental car. Much happier now. Wish I had paid attention to the amenities, but I wasn't since I assumed it was going to be the one listed here.

I believe it is the one still listed for those dates (now $20 less per night) which is: Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet.
