Was really hoping for Collinsville as that Hampton is getting better ratings. But nevertheless, cheap rate, free breakfast, free internet, and free parking can't be that bad - can it? :)

Here is a quick review of our stay at the Fairview Heights Hampton Inn:

Good: Location, Cleanliness, Friendly Staff, free wifi and breakfast

Bad: Hottub closed, old 27" CRT TV's, no charging station/microwave/fridge in room, "business center" was old Dell PC sitting in a corner of the dining area

Never got an explanation on the hottub, was told the pool is heated to 90 degrees...

Hotel desperately needs to be updated, highly questionable if would stay at this location again before then.

Additional thoughts provided by my 17 yo son who wasn't impressed either:

kewl shower. bad window view. average beds. all the way to floor 1 for ice. lame workout area with the space they had for it. outdated equipment. small bathroom. (only 1 person can be in it at a time). small parking lot (dont know if that is relevant) thats all i can think of.

Was our first Hampton experience and yeah, we aren't one's to forget - at least it was cheap :)
