Hotwire Hotel: 3* San Francisco (San Bruno-SFO West) Staybridge Suites

Regular rate was $154.

This was the third time in my last four stays that Staybridge gave me a two-bedroom suite as a PRICELINE or HOTWIRE guest. That's two full bedrooms, each with its own full bath and shower, TV, desk, and closet. The new twist this time was that one of those bedrooms had TWO double beds. With three beds in the suite plus a pullout sofa in the living room this suite could have accomodated eight people!

The catch is this suite (like the other times I got a 2-bedroom) was on hotel's third floor (out of three) and the hotel has no elevator! It's a lot of space for the money but you've got to climb stairs to get to that room. I'm happy to do it but for someone with a bad hip or breathing troubles it could be difficult. The hotel strives to please and maybe they'd give lower floor on request but so far I haven't tried.

Large breakfast included (one reason I like climbing the stairs). Free beer, wine, and snacks weekday evenings. Parking and internet also free.

If exterior facing rooms and staircases (motel style) aren't an issue then the Staybridge is a great value.
