Colfax
Here's a new one for the Hotel List.Hyatt Place Reno Tahoe Airport1790 East Plumb LaneReno, NV 89502$40 was rejected. Hotwire had a 3.5* for $59 that also looked like Hyatt Place. Hyatt Place was $98 online. This is an almost new non-casino hotel, just opened about 5-6 months ago, directly across the street from the airport. This is the first Hyatt Place I've stayed at that was new construction. The others have been converted AmeriSuites properties. No Priceline attitude here. They asked if I wanted one bed or two and even which floor I wanted. (Hotel is six floors.) East facing rooms overlook an airport runway with mountains in background and I enjoyed watching the planes taxiing from my large picture window. Even though the airport's across the street I heard no jet noise. The west facing views overlook Highway 395, and the airport view is preferred. (And that's what they gave me, without me asking).Lobby and rooms were very comfortable. Indoor pool and gym. Parking, internet, and breakfast buffet included. Omelettes and fritatas cooked to order for additional cost. I found the free portion of the buffet more than adequate. My stay was a Friday and Saturday night and I think Hyatt Place could be a difficult Priceline win on other days of the week. Some of casinos in the zone have very low Priceline rates on Sun-Thurs and a 3* bid of $45 could result in an upgrade to a 3.5* or 4* casino, possibly on an overbid. The casinos have much higher rates on weekends and an upgrade from 3* is less likely.Bids placed through the BetterBidding PRICELINE link.(p.s. To update the Reno hotel list, the La Quinta in South zone is upgraded from 2* to 2.5*.) Link to comment

Colfax
Forgot to mention...Before bidding for 3* I was rejected at $55/4* and $55/3.5*. I was bidding the night before stay and ran out of rebids, so had to go the 3* route. Hotwire rates for 4* were high.It all worked out, as I liked Hyatt Place. Link to comment
