Bob Loblaw Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 There are only three 4* hotels in Jersey City....the Westin, the Hyatt Regency on the Hudson (my favourite) and the W Hoboken. All are very nice and highly rated. Unless there is a specific reason why you want the Westin then you can't go wrong. Also of note is that every zone is a re-bid zone because there are no other 4 stars on the map...atleast when I last checked, always wise to check before re-bidding. I am looking for a Jersey City hotel for May but will probably wait until a couple of weeks prior.......a trend I have noticed is that if you book through Priceline a bit in advance, it "seems" like the Westin is the more popular win (in the 100$ range) while wins closer to the stay date seem to be the Hyatt Regency at a bit cheaper of a rate. Could be coincidence but just an observation. The Hotwire hotel list (on this site) has the amenities for each hotel listed. Look there. Cheers
Bob Loblaw Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Bid 75 on 4* Jersey City If fail....bid 80 and add ELIZABETH If fail....bid 85 and add MEADOWLANDS If fail.....bid 90 and add NEWARK If fail.....bid 95 and add SECAUCUS If fail....bid 100 and add SHORT HILLS If fail.....bid 105 and add WST ORANGEWith PRICELINE, you have to accept any 4* but as aforementioned, all 3 are great and close to each other and close to the PATH station (it is literally outside the door of the Hyatt) and all have rooms that offer great views of the Hudson and Manhattan skyline if you are lucky enough to get a good view!
thereuare Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 annaleciat0,Can you please follow-up your previous Priceline Puerto Rico thread with whatever you ended up doing for that stay.As far as your Jersey City stay above, are you willing to accept any hotel in this zone? The amenities in your first post are generic to 4* hotels offered thru PRICELINE... not specific to the property you will necessarily win for the dates of this stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too! Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
