Priceline Hotel: Help wth booking Valencia - Stevenson Ranch

Hi,

I'm try to book a night for 3/19 - 3/20 in the Valencia area between 2.5*-3.5*

I've been trying for a few days now, bidding up to:

$75 for a 3.5*

$75 for a 3*

$70 for a 2.5*

I'm not having any luck so far. Any suggestions?

This hotel hasn't been ID'ed before but it looks like the Embassy Suites Valencia to me. I'd jump on it. If it's not Embassy Suites it will be probably be something else good with that 4.5 rating.

Thanks for your reply Colfax. I only see the $75 rate through Thursday (3/18). For the dates 3/19-3/20, the rate for a 3.5* jumps to $145, and 3* up to $97. Maybe the rate will lower as the date approaches...

What is your maximum bid for this stay?

My maximum bid would be around $77 (for a total of $94) for a 3.5* or 3*.

Going through Kayak, comparable hotels are $100 to $150 plus taxes and fees.

Well you've basically already bid up to your maximum bid so not much else you can do other than continue to try for the next few days.

At the 3.5* level you have FOUR re-bid zones, at the 3* level you have ONE, and at the 2.5* level you have NO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

I would use this strategy if $77 is your maximum bid:

Select 3.5* Valencia...

Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $74, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $77, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE

Select 3* Valencia...

Thanks for the helpful advice. My first round was rejected on all of the bids. I was feeling generous and even upped my bid to $85 for a 3* -- rejected! :)

I'll try again once more tomorrow, hopefully with better luck.

If that doesn't work, I will probably book through Hotels.com with the 10% off coupon code of ACDE4ESTR.
