Dman Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Went on Hotwire for a 4* in Downtown Seattle during these dates in early May, and got the Westin for $89 a night for 2 rooms. I actually expected that this would end up being the Renaissance or the Marriott, since I had tried Priceline for these dates at bid prices up to $87 and gotten nothing, and the Renaissance and Marriott are considered 3.5* properties on Priceline while the Westin is considered a 4*. In my experience, it's unusual to get a property on Hotwire for $89 and to NOT be able to get the same property and dates on Priceline for just $2 less (or even lower). Especially since I know that the Westin in Seattle is one of the most common 4* properties on PL. In any case, I was hoping to get the Westin and we did, at half the price that I could have gotten it for via Starwood as an SPG Gold member.
