otottmom Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 Please help me ID the following hotel in the Los Angeles (Glendale-Burbank-Universal City) area:4*Smoke freeFitnessPoolRestaurantBusiness CenterHi-speed Internet$99.00 (recommended by 80% of reviewers)Is this the Hilton Glendale? (ammenities didn't include golf)Or is it more likely to be the Sheraton Universal? (all the amenities fit perfectly except you've removed smoke free on your list and it was stated here)Any help you can give is greatly appreciated as I am really hoping for the Sheraton Universal. Many thanks!Julie
AaronJB Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 Good evening. :)Please provide the date/s of travel and we will be happy to have a look. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
otottmom Posted March 4, 2010 Author Report Posted March 4, 2010 Oops...sorry. It's for one night March 7th, 2010. And yes, I always access Hotwire and Priceline through your links. Thank you very much!!!
AaronJB Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 My guess is that this may be the Sheraton Universal, and the tripadvisor rating on the detail page would also be a match. I'm seeing this for $188 on HOTWIRE though, and it's $165 on Orbitz for this date (plus coupon code orbitzdeal5 takes another 5% off.)Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE or Orbitz.com links to start your purchases and searches.
otottmom Posted March 5, 2010 Author Report Posted March 5, 2010 Ok, now it's gone. Darn! Do they ever take hotels off one day and put them back on the next? I should've taken it. Now, they (probably) have The Hilton Glendale listed for $108.00 (it has the added golf amenity). I need to be near the CityWalk.
thereuare Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 Sometimes hotels appear, disappear, and then re-appear... but unfortunately with your stay just 2 days away you don't have much time to wait for this to happen. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide to do or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
otottmom Posted March 5, 2010 Author Report Posted March 5, 2010 Thanks for your help. I did check Hotwire (accessed through your link here on Better Bidding) and noticed that they put the same hotel description I was interested in from yesterday back up for sale. So luckily for me, I took my chance this time and ended up with The Sheraton Universal for one night 3/7/10 for $99.00. Thanks for helping me confirm the ID on this property.
otottmom Posted March 5, 2010 Author Report Posted March 5, 2010 I missed my initial opportunity to get this property yesterday because it disappeared from the available listings from Hotwire last night. But, much to my surprise...it re-appeared this morning. I ended up with exactly what I hoped for. The Sheraton Universal (4*)$99.00 for one night 3/7/10Amenities:Smoke-Free (your list has this amenity scratched off)FitnessPoolRestaurantBusiness CenterHi-Speed InternetAs always, I accessed HOTWIRE through the link here on Better Bidding. Thanks for your help.Julie
AaronJB Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 Congratulations on your success. :)Glad to hear that this property reappeared (which definitely doesn't always happen)! Quite a nice deal, too.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using the site's HOTWIRE link (and thank you for confirming that the smoke-free icon is showing with this listing, so that we can update the site's Hotwire Hotel List for the state.)Enjoy your stay
