yellowdog Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Best guess for this property would be Hilton GaslampPlease use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase, and let us know how it goes or if you need any additional help with your stay.Yellowdog.
Dok Henz Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 2/27/10 - 2/28/10 2 Adults 0 ChildrenDescription:$88Gaslamp Quarter - Convention Center area Hotel4* Recommended in 85% of Customer ReviewersFitness CenterRestaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessHi Sam:Ironically, I'm looking for the exact dates in the same part of town. I'm interested in this Hotwire quote too, and suspect that it's Indigo rather than Hilton Gaslamp for a few reasons:(1) Google "review hotel indigo" and select the TripAdvisor reviews - about the 3rd post down is someone who just won the Indigo for a similar amount (~$80)(2) The indigo doesn't have a pool and this Hotwire quote doesn't either - the other posts for a 4* in the Gaslamp that best match the Hilton has a pool listed on the Hotwire amenities, apparently.I'm tempted to pull the trigger on this one - I'll post with results if/when I do - and would appreciate the same if you do, too! Thanks!Dok
Dok Henz Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 OK. Edit to my last post.Upon further searching of these excellent forums, it looks like the 4* with the amenities you listed at $88 has been the Westgate (posted as recently as 3 weeks ago). The other bit of hesitation I'd add is that some amenity listings for the Indigo and Solamar have included the "B" symbol for "boutique"...Quite a little game - and Hotwire's playing it well.Since my Wife (notice the caps) prefers older hotels, I think we may spring for the 5* Gaslamp, which is almost certainly the US Grant... I'll post to let you know.Dok
