Priceline Hotel: Need 10+ rooms 3* oakbrook il please help

Hi, I noticed some people had won the holiday inn and Hyatt Place in Oakbrook, IL for $30, I know other hotels are posted at the 3* level but this seems to be the only one people have been winning recently. I know you can book up to 9 rooms at a time without having to do group reservations, I need a total of 20 rooms for 6/4-6/6/2010, so I would need to book multiple times do you think that if I were to book right away that I have a decent chance of getting the same hotel? What is priceline's cancellation property and is there some sort of insurance you can buy in case I don't get what I want. Thanks for your help.

Nobody can say if you will receive the same hotel if you bid again immediately. We have seen users hit the 'enter' button at the same time while on different computers and receive different hotels for the same stay. It comes down to how many rooms the hotel has allocated to PRICELINE's "name your own price".

All PRICELINE (and HOTWIRE for that matter) rooms are non-cancellable/non-changable, so you need to make sure your plans are firm before bidding. PRICELINE does offer insurance, but it doesn't cover buyer's remorse or not liking the hotel you receive... it's more so for sickness, flight delays, etc.

20 rooms may be above the priceline allocation of a certain property.. although I'm guessing none of us know for sure.

Have you thought about calling the properties with their priceline rate? (ask specifically for the sales manager..). I've met the General Manager of the Holiday Inn Oak Brook, and I have a feeling he may be willing to work with you.
