grhabyt Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 Looks like a new hotel for this area. Amenities were listed as Fitness, Business Center, and High Speed Internet. Much further into the Tenderloin than I wanted to be. Thought I would be getting either the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway or the Opal. Oh well.

Gallus50 Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 Sorry you didn't get hotel you wanted, but I wouldn't have expected HIGG. It has a pool and restaurant, and most likely wouldn't show up without those icons. Don't know exactly where Cova is, but hopefully, it won't be too sketchy .....
binarynut Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 I think this was the Air Travel Hotel.
Colfax Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 Yes, Cova was the Air Travel. It's at Ellis and Larkin, which is definitely Tenderloin, but the hotel has some compensating features for those who can tolerate the neighborhood. Rooms freshly renovated. Breakfast and internet are free. Parking is $25, which is low for Downtown. And Cova provides free shuttle service to Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, and Moscone, which saves a lot in cabfare. If you like Vietnamese food Little Saigon is around the corner.I haven't stayed at Cova yet but I want to try it.Please let us know how the Cova was for you, grhabyt.
