AaronJB Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 The 2.5* USW has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but the 2* USE would likely be the Baldwin. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
ace215 Posted January 16, 2010 Author Report Posted January 16, 2010 hey thanks for the heads up for the Baldwin! that looks like a nice hotel. Sorry about posting two separate posts in one thread..i tried to make two separate posts but it keeps joining them into one.
AaronJB Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Happy to help! :) I've merged the threads to this one thread, as we ask that all posts regarding one stay be in the same thread. The Opal is on sale for $67 via Orbitz, then coupon code WELCOME10 takes another 10% off, putting it into the same price range as the above. Please use the site's Orbitz.com link if this idea is of interest.
AaronJB Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Additionally, the Cova Hotel is on sale via Orbitz for $76 (from $119), and that property appears to offer free breakfast. The WELCOME10 code also works for that.
AaronJB Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 The Cova property - which is listed as a 2* on some services and 3* on others, does look pretty nice and get good reviews. I'm not familiar with the area, but from a deal perspective, the free breakfast is a nice bonus and $76 is already 35% off, then you can use the WELCOME10 coupon for another 10% off.
ace215 Posted January 16, 2010 Author Report Posted January 16, 2010 thanks for all your help! im currently comparing the different options I have and will post my win if I use Hotwire.
AaronJB Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Please keep us updated (whether you choose HOTWIRE or Orbitz or another site) and thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE, PRICELINE or Orbitz links.
Colfax Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 You can probably win a 3* or 2.5* for $50 or less on PRICELINE. Civic Center zone would be most likely but a 2.5* in USW or USE is also possible. If you're interested someone can suggest a strategy. The Opal and Cova that AaronJB mentioned are also good budget options.
