Priceline Hotel: 4* LA-San Fernando Valley (Burbank-Universal-Glendale) Hilton Glendale

Hi there,

I'm looking for a nice hotel in LA from 2/28/2010 - 3/3/2010 . We definitely want to spend one day in the Universial Studios, thats why I think Beverly Hills-West Hollywood or Hollywood would be good for us. We will have a car though, so maybe you can recommend other nice areas?

Don't really want to pay more than $100 per night. What and where do you think we can get for that?

You can usually get a 4* in BH-WH or Hollywood for around $100. Parking about $25-40/night and not included.

If you stay in Hollywood zone you can take Metro to Universal.

A 4* in Glendale-Burbank-Universal zone costs less and parking is less there too.

Will one bed be enough? If you need two beds you can guarantee that on HOTWIRE but not on PRICELINE.

I might have a try with the Glendale-Burbank-Universal zone then. From what I've read so far you need a car to see the 'important' places in LA anyway . We just don't want to be too far away.

Hilton Glendale is the only reported 4* in the zone.

Thanks for your help! Started at $50 and increased by $5 per free rebid. I finally got the Hilton Glendale for $75/night. Unfortunately only for two nights (the hilton homepage says that there are no rooms available 3/2 - 3/3 and I wasn't able to extend the stay by one night in PRICELINE).

So I think I'll try it a bit further south for the 3rd night, maybe downtown (although parking will probably cost a fortune...). Have you got another good hint for me?
