I am looking for any resort hotel in WDW vicinity checking in Sat. night, Jan. 22nd through Tuesday, Jan. 24th (two nights). I wanted help with a priceline bidding strategy (what price should I start at for these nights) - I know I can use most of the Orlando areas for free rebids (except Universal area which also has resorts but I'd rather be in WDW area). Let me know what you think. Thanks!!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

To be more precise, you actually have 8 re-bids. This is how i would proceed:

Select WDW zone and Resort...

Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $62, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $68, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $72.

I don't think the $50's will be enough and you'll likely find success in the mid-$60's. I've left out one re-bid above 'just in case' you need to continue this bid, but i suspect that the above will be enough.

Any questions feel free to ask and let us know how it works out.

Good Luck.

A guy I work with got the Wyndham Palace Resort for 01/22/05 on priceline today. He bid $65.00 & was rejected. PL offered a counteroffer for $17.00 dollars more. He took a free rebid instead for $67.00 & got it. Thereuare's bidding recommendation is right on. You should get the Wyndham for mid sixtys for your dates.

Sorry never replied it was my first time using the board and I must have totally forgotten about it - in the end, if I recall correctly, once I saw your prices, we tried bidding with your strategy up to around $70 and wasn't having any luck and I saw on EasyClickTravel the Sheraton Safari for $69.95 so I took the guaranteed price (we also had some friends who were staying in the Safari area so it worked out well). Thanks for the help!!
