charlotte1755 Posted January 7, 2005 Author Report Posted January 7, 2005 sorry - It is Miami Florida - thanks
thereuare Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 This hotel has not yet been identified, but i would be leary of it.It is most likely a small, independent, hotel. Given the lower star rating, Boutique may be a synonym for "small" and outdated... or it could mean just about anything in this area.If you're looking for something 'quaint and charming' there is a good chance you will be underwhelmed, if the price is what attracted you i think there are likely better 3* range properties thru ECT.For example, the Greenview seems to get pretty good reviews and is available for your nite at $109. I doubut it'll be the Loews, but based upon the reviews it seems to be a solid choice in that price range. charlotte1755 Posted January 7, 2005 Author Report Posted January 7, 2005 Do you think it could be the Shelborne Hotel? I really want that hotel but do not want to pay $200.00 per night. I want to be on the ocean and at least near the Shelborne since friends will be staying there. They went ahead and payed the $200.00 but I am trying to get it cheaper or one near it. I see Priceline has it rated as a 3 star so that is why I thought on Hotwire it was the Shelborne - what do you think?? Thanks
thereuare Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 I have no evidence that this HOTWIRE hotel is or isn't the Shelborne as it has not yet been reported. Unfortunately there are just too many small, independent, hotels which call themselves 'boutique' in the South Beach area to try to figure this one out based upon the amenities. Not sure how much you're willing to pay to stay at this property, but i did find the SHELBORNE for $169/nite. charlotte1755 Posted January 7, 2005 Author Report Posted January 7, 2005 I never knew about EC!! So you think that description is the Shelborne?
charlotte1755 Posted January 7, 2005 Author Report Posted January 7, 2005 Now Hotwire has that hotel at $107/per night instead of $110. It also says Best Value. Could it be The Richmond Hotel? If I knew it was the Shelborne I would book this minute!! It is scary taking a chance!
thereuare Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 I really have no idea about the Hotwire hotel, as i said it is too vague of a description (for this area) to have any idea given that nothing with that combination of star rating and amenities has been reported. However, THIS is indeed the Shelborne. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
charlotte1755 Posted February 27, 2006 Author Report Posted February 27, 2006 I ended up with the Richmond Hotel and though it was fine - nice pool area and good beach access - no complaints from me
