Hi, I'm not sure if I should have posted this with my former 4* search request.

Please ID these two :

$69 3* - comp breakfast & hispeed internet

$79 3.5* - hipspeed internet

The 4* I was looking at seems to have disappeared.

Unfortunately, neither of these hotels have been identified/reported to the board. The properties that have been reported to the board are available in the site's Hotwire Hotel List for California.

What are your thoughts on the alternate 4* option mentioned above? The 4* Hotel Abrego in Monterey is also $99 on Orbitz, and coupon code WELCOME10 takes 10% off (the Hyatt Monterey is also $119, and the coupon also takes 10% off.)

Thanks for your reply and good work. I was trying to keep it under a hundred concerning the 2+2 4*...

What I don't understand is how one can have a 4* or 3.5* hotel with virtually zero amenities - no pool, restaurant, fitness room, something. Are these hotels suppressing the amenities and why ?

I really like the Orbitz/Abrego tip and am leaning toward this.

Is there going to be an Orbitz forum, or do you have one already ?

Some hotels don't show all their amenities and/or use multiple amenity combinations to describe their property in order to increase the opacity.

There is no need for an Orbitz forum since the names of the hotels there are shown before purchase and there is nothing 'unknown' about them... but we do have a link to Orbitz, please use it if you decide to go that route (or our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links if you proceed with either of these) and let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help.
