Priceline Hotel: 3* Palm Springs (Rancho Mirage-IW-Palm Desert) Indian Wells Resort

$20 resort fee covers parking, breakfast for two, internet, newspaper, and shuttle to Indian Wells Country Club. The other time I won the IW on Priceline they mentioned $20 resort fee at checkin but didn't charge me. This time they remembered.

Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz built the Indian Wells Hotel in 1957. In one of the hallways I saw a framed Indian Wells brochure and ratesheet from the late 50's.

The rates then were:

June-Sept $10-20

Sept-Dec $16-26

Jan-March $20-30

It's hard to believe that 50 years later I'm only paying $9 more than this hotel cost in Nov 1959.
