thereuare Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 Are you plans not yet firm or are they flexible that you can travel any of the above dates? Also, your first hotel dates overlap those of your previous Hotwire Newport Beach - Huntington Beach thread... are you making two separate trips?? (one for the 12/17-12/20 time frame and one for the 12/26-12/29 timeframe)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases and your searches too. dragdrew Posted December 2, 2009 Author Report Posted December 2, 2009 My Travel dates and places are not yet firm. I also have not yet decided on Newport- Huntington or San Diego. It is all up in the air but I am planning on booking soon. Have any of these hotels been identified on the board yet? This will help me make a decision.
thereuare Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 Please keep all posts for the same trip in the same thread, and wait to ask for hotel IDs until your plans are firm. It can take quite a bit of time to research HOTWIRE properties, and these may not even be the hotel(s) offered once you're ready to commit to a purchase or offered for the dates you decide upon. Thanks. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
justine12 Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 Hi,, new to bidding etc.. We will use Hotwire as we are booking for a family of four( and want only one room). I have two questions,.. how do I learn which area to bid for ( or book ) if I don't know what they are like? Also,, I have noticed there is in fact a 5 star for San Diego on the board for my dates( in March ) for 135$. It says it is in the "Gaslight convention area",, is that good if we mostly plan only a short visit( 2 days) and just want to see the zoo and maybe Seaworld? We are not shoppers,, but like to wander around safe areas for restos,, and conveneint to sights we mentioned. Should we be looking at another area? Thanks, hope these are dead obvious questions!
yellowdog Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 justine12Welcome to BetterBidding! The board would be happy to help you. But please start a new topic for your own stay as this thread will be used to reflect whatever member dragdrew ultimately does for his/her stay.Yellowdog.PS. Include your firm dates in the new post.
dragdrew Posted December 2, 2010 Author Report Posted December 2, 2010 I learned first hand not to wait around on a deal! By the time I was ready to book it was gone :). I ended up not going to newport at all because all hotels were extremely expensive. So if you see the deal book it while its there!
