Ruffles Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 I have been bidding for a 4* hotel close to the beach, if not on the beach or even downtown FLL, for March 6th - March 12, 2010. I have bid upto $75 dollars and rejected. Am I bidding too soon or should I expect to pay more? I have bid areas of Downtown, Beach and Hollywood Beach zones. My boyfriend and I are just looking for a nice hotel for a winter getaway.Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks. :)Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.

At least 6 zones do NOT have 4*.By CAREFULLY (no mistakes) adding one zone at a time and keeping your bid at 4*, you can repeat your bid each day numerous times.
Ruffles Posted November 22, 2009 Author Report Posted November 22, 2009 Thank you, I'll let you know when I get a hotel and what I pay for it. Of course I'll go through your link.
AaronJB Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Thank you for using the site's PRICELINE link, and good luck with bidding. :)
thereuare Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 While you have plenty of time and you can continue to lowball if you choose to do so, i think you'll ultimatley need to go higher than $75 for a 4* or better for these dates. If you check the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins for rates last year (2009) for these dates you'll see most 3* properties were going for ~$80, so a 4* would likely cost a bit more than that. What is the best rate you're able to find thru traditional booking channels at an acceptable hotel for these nites? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Thanks for your help, will let you know what I end up with when I get my bid accepted. Thanks, again, your all so helpful.
