After using the PRICELINE link from this board for several days to try and find a 4* in the Convention Center area for these dates to no avail (rebid in multiples of $2 or so from $55-$75 using the re-bid zones and waiting a day) I expanded my search.

Today I tried a 4* Convention Center for $75, rejected.

Added White House area, lowered to $60, rejected.

I then went through a few more bids between $60 and $70, (I'm so sorry I don't remember exactly what I did--I've gone through so many incarnations of this over the past several days-- but I added in Dupont Circle area, then lowered the star rating to 3.5*, then added in a rebid zone and I ended up with the 3.5 star Hotel Madera in the White House Downtown zone.

My total with taxes for the two nights is $167.94. I wanted to spend under $90/night total, since I knew I could find a hotel for Friday night for around that price (work is paying for Thurs night, but I didn't want to switch hotels after a day).

When going to the Hotel Madera site, the "best available" rate total for these two nights is $364.11.
