This is a great site!!I don't know the answers to your NYC hotel questions as far as price goes. Have you read what others have been winning? You do not know what kind of room you will get. Priceline only guarentees a room for two people, which means it might be just one bed. From what I recall reading, it seems that it is more difficult in NYC than other places to get two beds. We recently booked a room in Pittsburgh. There will be three of us. I called and asked if we could have two double beds. They said to call three days before our reservation and they will try their best. If not, the hotel has kings. We have slept three in a king before, so that is just what will do.Your credit card will be charged if they accept your bid. Yes, someone else can book your room for you. However, the room needs to be booked in your name as far as I know. They can either use your credit card or theirs. I have done this for my son before. I booked in his name but used my credit card. They will not ask you for the credit card you used when you check in. At least I have never been asked. I use a virtual account number, so my credit card would have a different number anyway. Most hotels, however, will ask for a credit card to run for "incidentals."I wish you luck finding something in your price range for the location you want. Let us know what you win.
