Maxi Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 I stayed at this hotel with a Priceline purchase in April of 2007. At the time it was a 5 star hotel, according to Priceline.I got it last year in December and it was under the 5* category, also I think the price is too high to be a 4*
brianc_li Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 I'm pretty sure that is the Grosvenor House - a J W Marriott Hotel - in which case it is most definately 5*. Its a very nice hotel but can't help thinking this was an overbid. We often see this hotel going at around $150.
Liset Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 The JW Marriott Grosvenor House and the Marriott Park Lane are two distinct hotels. The Park Lane is right at Marble Arch while the Grosvenor House is a couple of blocks down Park Lane. (I was at the Grosvenor House for six nights in Sept and walked past the Park Lane almost daily)The Grosvenor House is most definitely a 5* and I believe the Park Lane is also, although I can't recall where I got the rating for the Park Lane (probably from PRICELINE's own ratings).
