Our son is coming home for Thanksgiving which is of course a pricey time. Nebraska is also a tough state to fly in and out of when you are trying to fly cheaply. Unfortunately, travel arrangements could not be made until now so I tried some bidding through Priceline. Best non bid price was $396.

I first bid $300. It was rejected and I was given the opportunity to re-bid flying out of a new airport (Grand Island, NE) which was only a half-hour from where our son is located at college. I knew I could not get a flight out of that airport but it did give me a free re-bid.

I then bid $315 and it was accepted. Taxes brough it close to the "retail" price at a final price of 360.35 (USD). However, at least I got something for the effort. The airline is United.

I used the PRICELINE link. Thanks again for this service.
