Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Buffalo-Niagara Falls (Buffalo-Amherst) Marriott

Used the betterbidding PRICELINE link and started bidding at $51 for 3.5* in the Amherst area of Buffalo. My bid was rejected. Added Grand Island as a free rebid for a 3.5* and bid $55. That was also rejected. Added Niagra Falls for another free rebid for a 3.5* and bid $58. That was accepted!!! I am happy with this win. Since our daughter goes to school in Buffalo we stay in the area often. This is the first year I have been able to win the Marriot. Previously they would never accept my bids. For just a few dollars more than the Motel 6, we get to stay in a nice hotel.

Actually this is not a new hotel for us. We have won it several times now this year. We tried to win it the previous two years and never were successful. However, this year, we have been successful. I think with the economy, the Marriot is willing to take a lower price, which they weren't before.

Thanks. We just got this for 57 for Oct 31-Nov 2. Have previously stayed here an year ago booking via HOTWIRE for 79. :)
