tried to get the 12/17-19 weekend.

Manhattan failed up to $130 for 4* and $110 for 3*

Jersey City failed up to $110 for 3*

Split the bid, and got 12/17 for $39.

For 12/18, Midtown failed up to $150 for 4* and Jersey City 3* failed up to $120.

I think I'm going to use Starwood, Hilton or Marriott points for 12/18 before I break the bank...

That nite of the 18th is certainly a tough one, but you're post is a good example of how splitting your bid can be used to your advantage when there is one nite that is much more expensive than the others.
