808geek Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 Dates are: 11/12/09-11/15/093.5* $59 per night Disneyland SouthAmenities:Fitness, pool, restaurant, business center & high-speed internetPoints of Interest:The Block at OrangeTotal cost $201.23Could this possible be the Crowne Plaza Resort? Normally it would show Trip Advisor Rating of 3.5 out 4.0 and I would be able to tell by that but this time it doesn't show that. I know sometimes it has the laundry icon.Any help would be appreciated. Usually I book Priceline but I may use Hotwire this time, or at least I'm trying to.
thereuare Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 This amenity combination is quite common for 3.5* hotels, but the Hyatt Regency has previously been reported with this amenity combination so that would be my best guess. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. 808geek Posted October 13, 2009 Author Report Posted October 13, 2009 Awesome, I stayed there this past August and loved it. And they have Starbucks in the lobby too which I absolutely love! When my plans are firm then I can actually book. Right now my Mom doesn't know if she can go or not, so don't want to book quite yet. Granted I have been to Disneyland a few times by myself.Hopefully it doesn't change when I decide to book and it's still available. To me, using HOTWIRE and PRICELINE is like playing the stock market, it CONSTANTLY changes. Not only daily but hourly.
808geek Posted October 13, 2009 Author Report Posted October 13, 2009 Have a question about star rating. I know for Priceline the Hyatt got upgraded to a 4 star. Did Hotwire do the same or is it still a 3.5 star? I did notice that there was a 4 star available with the amenities fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, high-speed internet access, tennis & golf nearby, with a trip advisor rating of 4.0 out of 5.0 In the past that matched the Hyatt. So not sure if this Disneyland South 3.5 star with fitness, pool, restaurant, business center and high-speed internet access is going to match the Hyatt since I'm more confident that the above 4 star is more of a likely match to it. This could be Crowne Plaza but usually it'll have a trip advisor rating of 3.5 out of 5.0 showing and this time it doesn't.
thereuare Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 I...don't want to book quite yet. Hopefully it doesn't change when I decide to book and it's still available. This is why we ask that you only ask for hotel IDs once your plans are firm, as the above may not even be the hotel offered in this zone once you're able to commit to a booking (or you may not even decide to go on this trip)Let us know once you're plans are firm and we'll take it from there. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. 808geek Posted October 16, 2009 Author Report Posted October 16, 2009 Plans are firmed up. So booked through your HOTWIRE link. First time using Hotwire, had been using Priceline the last several times. By the wealth of info on this site I was able to narrow down on my own what property this was going to be. I had also saw amenities that matched the Hyatt listed under 4* catergory but it was at $92.00 a night. I was there a few months ago in August and they were still doing renovations so I really hope the upgrade they did is worthy of being a 4* and worth double the price of what we've been previously been able to get. Current rates at Crowne Plaza during my stay started @ $109.00 a night so half off always makes me happy.Won Crowne Plaza Resort in Garden Grove for $53.00 a night.3.5 stars Disneyland South 11/12-11/15 2 adultsfitness centerpoolrestaurantlaundrybusiness centerhigh-speed internet accesstrip advisor rating 3.5 out of 5.0I've stayed here before, earlier this summer and enjoyed it. Well aware of the resort fee of $12.00 a day but it does include self-parking, free internet access and a few other things. Hoping to be able to get 2 beds, I know I can at least request it. As always thank you to everyone's help.
