Priceline Hotel: Rye, NY Bidding strategy needed

I haven't stayed in this area in awhile and I would like a bidding strategy for the Rye NY area, I would prefer a 3* property, but would settle for a 2.5*. It looks like these have been identified as the Hilton and Marriott Courtyard, respectively. I would like to bid up to $70, if possible.

According ot a a gentleman i met in the lobby of this hotel, there are other 3* properties in the area (i seem to recall a Renaissance and maybe one other property at the 3* level).

At the 3* level you have two re-bid zones, at 2.5* you have one.

Assuming you're ok bidding last minute (as in, if this fails you can bid again in 72 hours) i would:

Select 3* and...

Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone#1 and...

Bid $60.

If rejected close that browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 3* and re-bid zone#2...

Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone#1 and...

Bid $70.

If rejected close that browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 2.5* and...

Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $55.
