thereuare
It depends where you're traveling :)... but i'd never make a 'blanket statement' that you'll avoid parking at the 2* level in any particular city. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Colfax
A few days ago someone reported winning a Priceline 1* that charged $10/night parking. It was the EconoLodge in Hollywood, CA. Link to comment
ipegleg
If I select a 2 star am I likely to avoid hotels that charge for parking?Park on the street. I argued with a marriot about the automatic charge. The said they would take if off the bill. A week later it was still on my credit card so I called corporate and emailed them a copy of my bill. They credited my card the cost of the parking AND the room. If I'm going on a long trip, sometimes it works out better to rent a car at the airport. DCA is tucked in close to the city and is on public transportation. I live a ways out of the city. If I go on week or longer trip sometimes it works out better to take a rental home then drop it off at the airport the next day and/or do the same on the back end. $30 day rental vs $10/day to park and you get to park close to the terminals.
