I stayed at the Courtyard for $52 the night before, after $50 was rejected.

I needed one more night in the area and thought about trying Add a Night but I wasn't wild about the Courtyard (mostly about the hotel's Century City location, not any issue with the hotel itself). I decided to bid again instead and see if something else would come up.

$50/2.5* BH-WH brought a counteroffer.

$51/2.5* was upgraded to the 3* Courtyard.

I didn't get the "something new" I wanted but I didn't have to move either.
