drewsky2009
We purchased travel insurance through priceline this past spring and ended up filing a claim due to our host being hospitalized. We provided everything requested including admit and discharge dates from the hospital on letter head, sighed by nurse and medical records staff. We were than advised they wanted medical records sent of the diagnosis. Our hostess was not willing to provide this as she did not want just anyone having her detialed medical records. The insurance AIG, also asks if it is a condition they have had before and if so, they will not cover. Another thing to keep in mind is that due to HIPPA laws, this adds to the difficulty of obtaining info.Read the fime print. Our good deal turned out to cost us more because we paid more for the insurance, most importantly, we lost valuable time spent on trying to get reimbursed. Link to comment
