AnnieW Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 We are visiting Oahu on 13rd March. We have booked the Kahala hotel for 16th-18th as a bit of luxury at the end of our stay. But other 3 nights would like to stay in Waikiki, ideally on the beach but in a 4* - don't mind the actual hotel.Want to get the best deal but don't want to spend more than $120 per night.Want to use PRICELINE as don't have a specific hotel in mind - but would appreciate any tips for bidding. Most of the deals seem to be for Hawaii Prince hotel - but assume if I don't include the Marina area this will not come up as an option? Would prefer on or close to the beach. Many thanks
thereuare Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 ...would like to stay in Waikiki, ideally on the beach...Would prefer on or close to the beach.Do you need to be on the beach or simply within walking distance? With PRICELINE you can't guarantee a beach front property, although if you look at PRICELINE's Waikiki Beach zone most of the hotels in that shaded boundary at either on the beach or a short walk across the street to the beach... are you willing to accept a hotel anywhere within the shaded boundary of the Wikiki Beach zone?If you must be on the beach the HOTWIRE would be a better option as you can assure a hotel on the beach by choosing a property with the Beachfront icon.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. AnnieW Posted August 21, 2009 Author Report Posted August 21, 2009 Happy with the shaded area on PRICELINE. We don't need to be right on the beach - that would just be a bonus!
thereuare Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 At the 4* level you have FOUR re-bid zones.
