  1. Thanks for the information. Went ahead and booked and confirm this was for the Westin for 26th-28th Nov. Appreciate the help.
  2. Hi. Searched the HOTWIRE link for 4* Paris hotel. In Louvre-Marais area. 2 rooms 26th- 28th Nov. Has brought up 1 option with 95% recommendation rate. Amenities listed as Fitness Centre, Restaurant, Business Centre, Laundry and high speed internet. Any ideas on what hotel this is? Many thanks
  3. Thanks for the tip - we will make sure we don't miss out on the best Bagels :-) Happy with our results based on expensive time of the year to visit. Looking forward to it! Thanks again.
  4. Hi Staying in New York at the beginning of May. Happy to stay in CPS, ESB, MTE, MTW OR TS. Started bidding (through PRICELINE link) at $140 (hopefull!!) Numerous bids adding in areas and using free re-bid areas in $5 increments over a few days. All declined until finally accepted at $195 for Intercontinental The Barclay.
  5. Many thanks for the advice. As we wanted to stay within budget, we amended bid to include 3.5* at $160 which was accepted for Boston Park Plaza. Looks ok although on reflection, we probably should have gone with the Hotwire option! Anyway, at least we have kept within budget and looking forward to visiting Boston for the first time. Thanks again.
  6. Hi. We are planning a visit to Boston from 4th - 6th May looking for 2 nights accomodation in a 4* hotel. Idealy would like to stay in Coply Sq/ Theatre district, but would be happy with Harbour Front, Waterfront or Financial District. Bid on PRICELINE using the link numerous times starting at $125. Used free bids and now up to $150 - all bids declined. Would appreciate any advice, as ideally didn't want to spend more than $150. Although will go up to $180 as appreciate this is a busy time of the year. Are we likely to get something around this price, or should I be including 3.5* for this budget? Advice would be appreciated. Thanks :-)
  7. Yes it was on HOTWIRE. Amenities listed were; 5-star hotel in Venice This hotel features the following amenities: Near Beach. Fitness Center. Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Spa Services
  8. Bid on priceline. $175 in $5 increments up to $195 - all rejected for 4* & 5* in Venice. Deal on HOTWIRE today so booked $189 per night 5* Venice and allocated Hilton Molino Stucky :)
  9. Just to let you know, bid as per guide but all bids rejected :-( Will have to think about changing our dates or going for a 3 star hotel instead!
  10. Brilliant - thanks yet again! Will let you know how I get on! Just 1 more question! I can see 5 re-bid zones - but could you let me know if Coney Island or Hells Kitchen is the 6th area as could not see these on the hotel zone list?
  11. Had a look and happy with these zones. Thanks again.
  12. Thanks for the info. Ideally would like to keep it to a max of $200.
  13. Looking to visit New York 1st Oct - 5th Oct 2010. Would like to stay in Central area with good access to attractions. Looking for a 4* Hotel. Could anyone give me some bidding tips and idea of max price I should be paying? Fantastic help for our last trip from the forum - so really appreciate the help!
  14. Many thanks for the advice! Followed as per message and rejected first 4 bids ($75-$90). Re-accessed and free re-bid for $95 - Got message if bid increased by $22 would be accepted. Declined and this re-bid again adding re-bid zone. $100 accepted for Marriott Waikiki Beach & Spa. Very happy with that - thanks again for the help. This was my second booking, so understand the process much better now! :)
  15. Happy with the shaded area on PRICELINE. We don't need to be right on the beach - that would just be a bonus!
