Hotwire Hotel: What room do you get?

What room do you get if you book a 4* hotel do you get the room that overlooks the parking lot or something else?

Just curious as I am tempted to bid on a hotel in Maui but it is also where the room is in the resort that matters.

I'd rather have an ocean view in a 3* than overlook the parking lot in a 4*.

and of course Id rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy

All that is guaranteed is a room that will accomodate double occupancy... if you're going to be disappointed if you don't have a view of the beach, ocean, etc, or if your room is too close/far from the elevator, then you are better off booking direct (and likely paying twice as much... that's an expensive view of the ocean :) )

I'd rather get a 4* hotel at a 2* price and take some pictures of the view, they last longer.
