nick5 Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 1st bid for $33 got Courtyard by Marriott Pontiac. Was really hoping to get Hyatt Place. Oh well, now I have to hunt for breakfast.Hmmm this property keeps changing from 2.5* to 3* We did stayed at this Courtyard back in May and found it to be perfect for our needs. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff friendly. It is a bit further than some of the other hotel properties in the area but within short drive to everything. Hmmmm.... breakfast, we had a really good one, but I don't recall where it was at. I know it was not at Courtyard. If I think of it, I will post it. Cheryl PS,, one time at a different Courtyard, I asked if there was any specials or discounts for the breakfast the following morning, and the staff person on duty gave us one coupon to cover one of the breakfasts and said with a smile,, "hmmm I think it is buy one get one free day." O It is always easy to be nice to people when you check in and also when you ask for directions and such. I think that is what snagged us the coupon later.
babying Posted August 19, 2009 Author Report Posted August 19, 2009 Thanks very much for the tip. For the life of me, I can't understand why some people get the free breakfast hotels and I don't. We have stayed at the 2 other Marriott's in the area and were thinking of sneaking over to Residence Inn for their free breakfast. :)
AaronJB Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 We have stayed at the 2 other Marriott's in the area and were thinking of sneaking over to Residence Inn for their free breakfast. :)"Mission: Impossible" hotel-style? :)
babying Posted August 19, 2009 Author Report Posted August 19, 2009 "Mission: Impossible" hotel-style? :)You had me rolling on that comment.I will most likely chicken out since I can't honestly do it. 99% we will be eating at the Courtyard for breakfast.
babying Posted August 21, 2009 Author Report Posted August 21, 2009 Sorry just realize I made a mistake. This was for 2 nights (Aug 22 - 24) at $33 per night plus taxes.
