stormygirl Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 hello, I don't see any recent convertible wins in SFO? I'm wanting to bid for 8/28-8/31
thereuare Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! What is your maximum bid for a rental for this period? stormygirl Posted August 17, 2009 Author Report Posted August 17, 2009 looks like the best price for that weekend is $118 per day. I'm hoping for something more around $50-$60 per day
thereuare Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 I'd start at $35 and increase $5 every 24 hours until you hit your maximum bid of $60.Smaller cars (economy, midsize, etc) can be had for ~$25/day so after you start to get up to $60 i think you'll need to seriously consider if a convertiable is worth the added exepense. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Keep ups updated as to how the bidding goes and let us know if we can be of further help. Colfax Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 You might not get a convertible no matter how high you bid.HOTWIRE doesn't have opaque convertible inventory in SF for your dates, so PRICELINE might not either. PL and HW use the same rental companies (other than Enterprise, which is only on HOTWIRE). Hotwire's convertible listing is in gray. On Hotwire gray means "no opaque inventory" and they're offering you a full-priced conventional booking instead, for $118.29/day in this case.SF's temperate weather means it's not a big convertible town and the rental companies don't stock a lot of them.I hope you can win something on PRICELINE but you can't plan on it.
stormygirl Posted August 24, 2009 Author Report Posted August 24, 2009 Colfax I think you are right, I've bid everyday up to $50 and still nothing. I'm going to change to a small SUV or something I think
