Priceline Hotel: 3* Orange County (Buena Park-Cerritos) Raddison KB

have been trying to bid for 3* (or 3.5*) hotels in Anaheim or Irvine. (Anaheim is preferred though :) )

will try to stay over there from 12/27/04-12/29/04.

I tried $25, $27, $33, $35 but have not succeeded.

I thought I could ask for some suggestion.

Are you saying that you tried re-bidding but nothing was accepted or you couldn't figure out your re-bid zones?

I tried to add Fullerton, Costa-Mesa Irvine, Fountain Valley, and Newport Area for the re-bidding schemes.

well, I started with $25 until $35 with those addition.

Does it mean I just need to up my bid?

Or is there any other way to get around 30s? (like others)

That's a really busy time of year at Disneyland.

I'd definitely consider upping my bid. Last year my successful bid for that time period (but I also included New Year's Eve) was $45.

It is a busy time of year (winter recess for many school aged children) but rates aren't too high <yet!>.

I just think u're bids are too low. There is a 3.5* hotel on Hotwire (likely 3* on Priceline) for $45 and that would be the figure i'd try to beat. Since you have plenty of time i wouldn't be adding Irvine at this time. When you are able to bid again i would do the following (assuming you know your two re-bid zones):

Select 3* Disneyland and...

Bid $37, if rejected add re-bid zone1 and...

Bid $39.

If rejected close that browser and re-access Priceline however you did previously.

Select 3* Disneyland and re-bid zone2:

Bid $41, if rejected add re-bid zone1 and...

Bid $43.

I got the Radisson Knotts Berry Farm with $41 pn for two days (12/27/04-12/29/04)

First, I started with $40 on Disneyland area -- rejected.

Then add Buena Park - Cypress area and upped my bid to $41 -- it got accepted.

I checked the website and it was stated as 3* hotel.

Does anyone know about this hotel?

One good thing tough, it is close to Disneyland and provides FREE shuttle from the hotel.

Did you not understand which zones were your re-bid zones OR did you choose to try for the Buena Park zone as well?

Well I decided not to include Costa-Mesa.

And also decided to add the Buena Park area.

Since from the map it seems that Buena Park is closer to Anaheim than Fullerton-Brea, I put it first as the additional zone for bidding strategy
