Priceline Hotel: Advice Pougkeepsie 10/9-11

Wow are price in Poughkeepsie high, not sure if it is parents weekend for one of the local colleges but rates are high, I noticed other have gotten hotels in Pok in the past for $50, for 2.5 star

Rates are high for these days, off of Expedia, the Super 8 is charging $100, Holiday Inn Select was $246. Fishkill 10 miles away is much cheaper, but Im going for a wedding with 2 late night events, drinking etc.

Please advise how much higher I should plan on going or if I should wait, for a couple of wks

With a smaller area, less inventory and - it would appear - quickly ramped up prices if something is going on on these particular dates.

In terms of a max, HOTWIRE has a 2* for $89 w/breakfast for these dates. You could continue higher, keeping in mind that HOTWIRE option if you bid that high on PRICELINE w/no success.
