There's no way to guarantee a particular hotel through PRICELINE - bidding is the luck of the draw. If you are looking for a particular property, a better way would be to search on HOTWIRE to see if that property is being offered.

Well, I have a sense it's the Holiday Inn. I went to Priceline hoping fro the Marriott or the Hyatt, bid $49 (I think $45 would have gotten it), and was matched with the Holiday Inn. :) Oh well, one night in downtown Stamford.

I just stayed at the Marriott a few weeks ago, paid $12 or so for parking and another $10 for internet, it was fine. I drove by the Holiday Inn in downtown (not the Holiday Inn Select just off I-95) and it had the new HI Logo and I believe this has been refurbished, so hopefully, this will work out for you.

Can you reply with the "star" level that you submitted your PRICELINE bid?
