This will be my first time going to LA and am looking for some help with this one night.

When I search for 1 night in Hollywood, August 29th, for two people, I get the following hotels:

2 Star - Complimentary breakfast, pool and laundry (3.5 Tripadvisor rating, with over 40+ reviews)

2.5 star - Complimentary breakfast and Hi-Speed internet

I would appreciate anyones best guess as to what these two hotels might be.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortuately this property has not yet been identified, and there are lots of hotels which fit the above criteria... Days Inn, Econolodge, Rodeway Inn, Comfort Inn, Super 8, etc.

Do you need to be in this zone OR would the Beverly Hills-West Hollywood zone work as well? Are you flexible that you could consider bidding on PRICELINE for a higher rated hotel for a similar amount of money as the above?

I'm going to stick with using HOTWIRE for this trip, because I have some hot Dollar credits that I have to use fairly soon.

I'm going to be in LA for a total of three nights, August 29th to September 1st. I will probably book a 4 star in Beverly Hills-West Hollywood for the Sunday and Monday night through HOTWIRE (looks like the Le Parc Suites is available).

The Saturday night (29th) I was just hoping to get something a little cheaper, in preferably the Hollywood area but Beverly Hills-West Hollywood would be fine as well. I just wanted to see if I could narrow down what these two cheaper options might be.

Thanks, and I'll be sure to use the HOTWIRE link when I do book.

I don't know what the Hollywood 2* is but after factoring in HOTWIRE's transaction fee you can book a 2* conventionally for less than Hotwire's rate, which is now $73, or $91.47 with tax/fee.

Hollywood Travelodge is $76 and Super 8 is $67, both on Orbitz. On many sites those brands are 1* but on HOTWIRE they're 2*.

Not sure if this should be its own thread, but I'll put it here for now.

I'm ready to book the 2.5 star for Saturday, August 29th but I now have a question regarding my next two nights stay.

There is now a 3.5 star in Beverley Hills - West Hollywood for the Sunday and Monday night listed at $104 per night with the following amenities:

Suite, Fitness Centre, Pool and High-Speed Internet.

It also a tripadvisor rating of 4, based on 120+ customer ratings. I'm guessing this might be the Chamberlain West Hollywood, if it was downgraded to a 3.5 star. Any other ideas as to what it might be?

Thanks again for the help.

I ended up bidding $56 per night and being rejected, added my re-bid zone and won the Hollywood Heights Hotel for $60 per night for the night of 8/31/09.

Subtotal: $60.00
