lee1 Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 Boy did I blow it on this one. I was trying to get a downtown location by using free-rebids for 4* hotels since I will be in town for a convention. I kept adding locations where there were no 4* to get the free rebids. I accidently selected/added the Cherry Creek zone. Consequently, I overpaid and now I have to bus/light rail it into town. Prior to this "successful" bid I started at $93 and continued up by 6-8 dollars per bid. It looks like a nice place but not what I was after. I think my wife will have me sleeping in the dog house for this one. So let this be a general word to the wise to carefully rebid.I did use the PRICELINE link.
AaronJB Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 Very sorry to hear about the bidding mistake, although I suppose at least if you made a mistake, the hotel you got seems like a very nice property. You could try appealing your case to PRICELINE regarding the error, but unfortunately I think they'll probably say no.Also, still a pretty good deal with a regular rate of $200 on the hotel website.Thank you for using the site's PRICELINE link to start your purchase and reporting your results.Enjoy your stay
