aryana
hi, i won the radisson fisherman's wharf for a five night stay dates 8/12 - 8/17/09 for $102. per night using the forum PRICELINE link.i started out at $40 with a 3.5 star just at the wharf; rejected.raised to $70 with a 3 star same locale; rejected.added the marina district as i discovered they only had 2 star properties and still rejected at $75. (had read that you would be upgraded to higher star level if you add a district that has no star levels you want as a bidding strategy from this forum); still rejected.again noted that there were no 2.5 in marina so took a chance in upping my bid to $80. and adding the 2.5 level; rejected, but told that if i added $22. to my bid i could re-bid once before waiting the 24 hours and would probably get it. bid accepted.has anyone ever stayed there? i read very conflicting reviews on tripadvisor and yahoo travel; some say it's great, others say it is not good. btw, they charge $37. per night for parking which is high but the total stay $ is still good for that area in the summer.did i do everything correctly for the best price and level that time of year and star level? AaronJB
Congratulations on your success! This certainly would seem like a good deal to me; while a couple recent reviews are a little mixed, the location seems solid and a lot of the reviews are at least mildly positive. Can you confirm the star rating of this property?Thank you for using the site's PRICELINE link and sharing your results with the board.Enjoy your stay. Link to comment
